SYMPTOMS

After you define a data provider and specify collection of only a subset of the properties of a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) event, Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) always collects all of the properties of the WMI event.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
