Cannot Use MOM Web Console to Link a URL to an Alert in the Company Knowledge Base (295997)

SYMPTOMS

After you try to link a URL to an alert in the company knowledge base by typing www.mycompany.com or http://www.mycompany.com in the append to company knowledge base field of the Web console, when you open the same alert again, the URL is not linked and you receive a message that says, "Unverified Knowledge-Base Submission."

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, update the company knowledge base from the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Administrator console, not from the MOM Web console.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
