Cannot Refresh Prereq.exe Utility When All Prerequisites Are Present (295984)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 (MOM) prerequisite utility (Prereq.exe), you cannot refresh the information if all of the prerequisites are already satisfied. The Refresh button is available only while there are still unsatisfied prerequisites.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, stop the Prereq.exe process and then restart it.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
