The My Computer Folder Appears to Hang After You Unplug a Digital Camera (295963)

SYMPTOMS

If you disconnect your digital video camera cable when you play a movie or view your camera's output in the My Computer folder or while the My Computer folder is open, the My Computer folder may stop responding (hang) for several minutes.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, stop the digital video camera, close the My Computer folder, and then disconnect your digital video camera cable.

MORE INFORMATION

This issue does not affect programs that are running or programs that you start while the My Computer folder appears to hang.
