Agent Manager Scans the Entire Domain When You Install MOM (295848)

When you first install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), Agent Manager performs a discovery scan for the entire domain. This scan, which can take as long as 20 minutes, occurs even if Managed Computer Rules for the agent is set to exactly match (equal) a single computer in the domain. After Agent Manager completes the scan, MOM begins receiving alerts and notification of events in the domain.
