SUMMARY

In the Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 documentation, there are several instances where it states that AuthFilter is able to use a Local Security Access Manager account. This information is in error. AuthFilter only works with Active Directory or SQL accounts.

The following paths are the areas in the Commerce Server 2000 documentation that are in error:
  • In the Contents pane, expand Getting Started, expand Commerce Server Concepts, and select Cookies and Authentication. In the Information pane, view the CS Authentication Resource heading, then the Authfilter subheading, and then the Windows Authentication Mode subpoint.
  • In the Contents pane, expand Getting Started, expand Commerce Server Security, and select Commerce Server Authentication Methods. In the Information pane, view the Windows Authentication subpoint.
  • In the Contents pane, expand Administering Commerce Server, expand Managing the CS Authentication Resource, and expand About the CS Authentication Resource. In the Information pane, view the Authentication Modes subheading, and then view Windows Authentication.
