OFFXPDEV: Cannot Change the Font of the Microsoft Office Developer Workflow Toolbar (295289)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office XP Developer

This article was previously published under Q295289

SYMPTOMS

When you modify the FontName property of the Microsoft Office Developer Workflow toolbar on a data access page, it appears that your change was successful. However, when you save and reopen the data access page, you notice that the font change was not saved and that the toolbar again displays the default Times New Roman font.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The properties on the Format tab of the property sheet for the Workflow toolbar may or may not affect the way the toolbar is displayed. In general, you should make changes to the toolbar's appearance on the Other tab. However, changes to the FontName property do not work, as described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. In an Access project (.adp), open a data access page in Design view.
  2. On the Insert menu, click ActiveX Control.
  3. In the list that appears, click Microsoft Office Developer Workflow Toolbar.
  4. View the property sheet for the Workflow toolbar. On the Other tab, change the FontName property from Times New Roman to Tahoma.
  5. Save the page, and then view it in Page view.
Note that the Workflow toolbar still displays the Times New Roman font. View the property again in Design view. Note that it is set again to Times New Roman.
