Extraneous DNS Queries Generate Network Overhead (295165)

If a Domain Name System (DNS) client computer is connected to the DNS server by using an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) link and the ISDN line is brought up in an unexpected manner, queries that should be resolved from the client's DNS cache may generate extraneous ISDN traffic. This problem is not specific to ISDN; the same queries are generated on a local area network (LAN). This problem originally occurred between two domain controllers (DNS client and DNS server) that were connected by using an ISDN link, when the Security section of the domain Group Policy on the DNS client domain controller was opened.
