Error Message: Error Creating Unique Tmp File (294843)

When you click a link to a Windows Media stream (.asx file or other type of stream), Windows Media Player may not start. When you switch from a program to Windows Media Player, you may receive the following error message:
Error creating unique tmp file.
If you then click OK and try to view the same stream or another stream, the error may persist until you restart Windows Media Player.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, upgrade to Windows Media Player for Mac version 7.01. For additional information and to download the updated version, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, quit Windows Media Player, restart it, and then click the link again.
