On a Windows 2000-based computer that has Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) installed, and Exchange 5.5 with Internet Mail Connector (IMC) is installed on the same server, when you upgrade to Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2, the SMTP service is removed.
