OL2001: Birthday and Anniversary Entries Are Not Imported (294644)

If you import contact information from Microsoft Outlook for Power Macintosh Exchange Server Edition 8.x, birthday and anniversary information is absent.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Outlook 2001 for Mac importer does not recognize the Anniversary and Birthday fields when they are imported from then Schedule+ Interchange Format.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, export the contact data from Outlook for Power Macintosh Exchange Server Edition 8.x as a text file and then import the resulting text file into Outlook for the Mac 2001. To do this:
- In Outlook for Power Macintosh Exchange Server Edition 8.x, click Calendar on the toolbar, and then click the Contacts tab.
- On the File menu, click Export, click Text, and then click Contacts List.
- Accept all the defaults in the Export Wizard, verify that you select all the fields to export, and then click Finish. Make note of the location where the exported file is stored.
- Open Outlook 2001 for Mac.
- On the File menu, click Import and Export, and then click Import Contacts From a Text File.
- Locate and click the file that you created, and then click Open.
- Select the contact folder to which you want to import the contact data, and then click OK.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
