OL2001: Contact Fax Address Retains Original Full Name (294611)

If you create a contact in Outlook for Mac 2001 and you modify the name that is associated with a fax number entry, the old name is retained when you view the fax address in the Address Book view.
WORKAROUND
To resolve this problem, create a new contact by using the new name.
