OFFXPDEV: The Add New Workflow Process Command Is Not Available (294464)

SYMPTOMS

The Add New Workflow Process command is never available in the Microsoft Development Environment.

RESOLUTION

To add a new workflow process, whether it is an Exchange workflow process or a SQL Server workflow process, on the File menu, point to New, and then click Project. Click either the Exchange Workflow Project or the SQL Server Workflow Project icon, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

By default, this command is not on any of the toolbars. You have to manually add it to an existing toolbar in order to be able to view it.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Open the Microsoft Development Environment.
  2. Right-click any toolbar, and then click Customize.
  3. Click the Commands tab, scroll down the Categories list, and then click Project.
  4. Drag the Add New Workflow Process command in the Command list onto an existing toolbar.
Note that the Add New Workflow Process command is not available.
