SBS 2000 Server Status Displays Blank Page (294152)

SYMPTOMS

The Server Status page (BackOffice home page) of the Small Business Server Administrator Console component of Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 may show a blank page.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if associated dynamic link libraries (DLLs) are missing, damaged, or incorrectly registered.

RESOLUTION

To repair the Server Status page, do the following:

  1. Insert SBS 2000 CD 3 in your CD-ROM drive.
  2. Copy all files from the <CDROM<:\bkoffice\i386\monitor folder to your \program files\microsoft backoffice\monitoring folder (substitute the drive letter of your CDROM drive for <CDROM<).
  3. Remove the read-only attribute from each of the files that you copied in step 2.
  4. Open a command prompt and navigate to your \program files\microsoft backoffice\monitor folder. Run the following command to register the DLLs:

    for /f %x in ('dir /b *.dll') do regsvr32 %x

  5. Close and reopen the Small Business Server Administrator Console.
