Visio2002: Text Size Is Not the Same for All Wall Shapes (294128)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visio 2002 Standard
- Microsoft Visio 2002 Professional
This article was previously published under Q294128 SYMPTOMS
When you add text to shapes from the following Microsoft Visio stencils - Floor Plan.vss
- Walls, Doors and Windows.vss
the point size of the text may differ between shapes.
CAUSE
In the stencils listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article, some of the shapes have a predefined text style for their text blocks.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Double-click the shape to open the text block.
- Select the text.
- On the Format menu, click Style.
- Select the style that you want to use for the shape.
- Click OK.
MORE INFORMATION
Some shapes in the stencils listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article use built-in text styles. Because some of these text styles are designed to be different sizes, Visio seems to use inconsistent text sizes for the wall shapes.
However, you can change all shapes to use the same text style by following the steps in the "Resolution" section of this article. Other solutions may now appear to have incorrect text sizes. To fix those solutions, simply change the styles that you modify back to their original state.
