This article was previously published under Q294083 SYMPTOMS
When you open a Microsoft Visio 2000 drawing in Microsoft Visio 2002, the AutoCAD object that you inserted in the Visio 2000 drawing is displayed incorrectly: The shape is wider than it appears in Visio 2000.
RESOLUTIONNOTE: If you manually change the width of the CAD object, you jeopardize the scale of the original drawing.
If scaling is not a concern, work around this issue by changing the width of the CAD drawing object. To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click the CAD drawing object, click Format, and then click Protection.
- Click to clear the Width and Aspect ratio check boxes.
- Use the size handles on the sides of the CAD drawing object to adjust the width.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
