Visio2002: Microsoft Visio Is Missing from the Start Menu (294077)

When you attempt to run Microsoft Visio from the Start menu, Microsoft Visio may not be displayed on the Programs menu (under Start), even though it is installed on your computer.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You have Microsoft Visio Standard and Microsoft Visio Professional installed on your computer.
-and-
- On a Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, you uninstall the last version of Visio that was installed.
-or-
- On a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer, you uninstall either version of Visio (regardless of which was the last to be installed).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps. NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. - Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
- In the Named box, type visio.exe.
- In the Look in box, click the arrow, click My Computer, and then click Find Now.
- Double-click Visio.
- On the Help menu, click Detect and Repair.
- Click to select the Restore my shortcuts while repairing check box, and then click OK.
