SYMPTOMS

When you perform a custom installation of Microsoft Visio, you are unable to set the Graphic Filters feature to the Installed on First Use installation state. The only options available are Run from My Computer, Run all from My Computer, and Not Available.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, set the Graphics Filters feature to Run from My Computer. The Graphics Filters will install and run from your local hard disk. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Visio Setup.
  2. Type the appropriate user information in the Welcome to Visio Setup dialog box, and then click Next.
  3. Click I accept the terms of the License Agreement, and then click Next.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. In the Install Visio at box, install to the default location or specify a location that you want, and then click Next.
  6. In the Features box, click the down arrow next to Graphics Filters, then click Run from My Computer, and then click Install.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
