Visio2002: Objects Are Arranged Incorrectly in Custom Masters (293959)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visio 2002 Standard
- Microsoft Visio 2002 Professional
This article was previously published under Q293959 SYMPTOMS
When you create a master on a document stencil in Microsoft Visio by dragging multiple shapes from the drawing onto the stencil, and then you click the icon for that master, the orientation of the shapes may not match the orientation of the shapes as you positioned them when you created the master.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when both of the following conditions are true:
- You select two or more shapes to drag to the stencil to create a new master.
-and- - At least one of the shapes is glued to a guide.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, move the selected objects on the drawing page so that neither object is touching a guide, and then drag them to the stencil.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
