PPT2002: PowerPoint Stops Responding After You Paste Slide That Contains Animation on Slide Master (293865)

When you copy and paste a slide that has custom animation applied to a placeholder on the slide master, PowerPoint stops responding.
This problem occurs in presentations with multiple masters, or when you copy and paste between two presentations that have different masters.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you click Keep Source Formatting (on the shortcut menu for the Paste Options icon), and the Custom Animation task pane is visible. If this task pane is not visible, PowerPoint pastes the slide correctly.
WORKAROUND
When you paste the slide, make sure that the Custom Animation task pane is not visible before you click Keep Source Formatting.
