When you are using roaming profiles in a Windows 2000 domain environment and you try to encrypt files on a network share where the "Delete cached copies of roaming profiles" policy is enabled, you may receive the following error message:
An error occurred applying attributes to the file: G:\folder: The parameter is incorrect
RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
