Swedish Wordbreaker Causes Content Index Service to Repeatedly Index Documents (293499)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
- Indexing Service
This article was previously published under Q293499 SYMPTOMS
When the Content Index service indexes a Swedish document, the Content Index service may filter the document indefinitely. When this occurs, you may observe that the following symptoms:
- The Swedish document is not indexed.
- A new instance of the Cidaemon process is started by the Content Index service at regular intervals.
CAUSE
The Swedish word breaker may build invalid word lists with duplicate keys when some Swedish composite words are processed (for instance RADSKRIVARE). When these invalid word lists are processed, the Content Index Service:
- Interprets that the word list is damaged.
- Stops the current filtering process (Cidaemon.exe).
- Restarts a new Cidaemon.exe instance to filter all unfiltered documents.
