This article was previously published under Q293481

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Add Network Place Wizard to create a new Web folder shortcut for a workspace, only the _Private folders and Images folders are displayed. The Documents folder or other workspace folders that you expect to see are not displayed.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you specified only the server name in the wizard and not the full workspace URL. When you create a Web folders shortcut, you must specify the correct server (http://myserver), and the workspace that you want to connect to (http://myserver/myworkspace).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete the Web folder shortcut that you created, and then run the wizard again. When you rerun the wizard, make sure that you type the full workspace URL. For example, if your server name is "Sharepoint" and your workspace name is "Knowledge", type the following text:

http://sharepoint/knowledge
