You cannot create an organization chart in PowerPoint 2003 or PowerPoint 2002 that is similar to charts that you created in PowerPoint 2000 (293212)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002
This article was previously published under Q293212 SYMPTOMSWhen you create a new organization chart in Microsoft
PowerPoint 2002 or a later version, you cannot create an organization chart that closely
resembles the organization charts that you can create in earlier versions of
Microsoft PowerPoint. CAUSE This behavior occurs because the organization chart tool in
PowerPoint 2002 or a later version has been completely rewritten to take advantage of the enhanced
drawing capabilities of Microsoft Office XP and later versions. By taking advantage of these
enhanced drawing capabilities, later versions of PowerPoint provide much
greater formatting capability than earlier versions of PowerPoint. However,
there are some formatting functions that no longer exist in the new
organization chart tool. REFERENCES
