OL2002: Information About Rule Account and Destination Folder Is Missing After Upgrade (293066)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Outlook 2002, when you attempt to view a rule that was created in Outlook 2000 (Internet Mail Only), information about the rule account and the destination folder is missing.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, recreate the rule:
  1. Under Outlook Shortcuts, click Inbox, and then on the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard.
  2. In the Apply changes to this folder list, click the appropriate Inbox, and then click New.
  3. Click Start creating a rule from a template, and then click the action that you want the rule to perform.
  4. Under Rule description (click on an underlined value to edit it), click the underlined values to specify conditions for the rule, and then click Next.
  5. Under Which condition(s) do you want to check, click to select the check boxes of the conditions to check for the rule, and then click Next.
  6. Under Add any exceptions (if necessary), click to select the check boxes of any exceptions, and then click Next.
  7. Type the name for the rule, and then click Finish.
