OL2002: Meeting Goes to the Wrong Calendar When You Change Between Two Mailboxes (293051)

When you set your personal folder (.pst) file as the default delivery point and then change the delivery point to be your Exchange Server mailbox, if you accept a meeting request that is forwarded to your .pst file, the resulting meeting shows up in the .pst Calendar, not in the default store.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because after the .pst file is set as the default delivery point, Outlook never resets the header information in the file, even when the .pst file is no longer a delivery point for messages.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem you can create a new personal folder (PST), copy the information from the old folder to the new one and then delete the old personal folder. To do this use the following steps:
- On the File menu point to New and then click Personal Folders File (.pst).
- Type a name for the file or accept the default, click Create, and then click OK.
- Right-click the old .pst file and click Close Personal Folders.
- On the File menu, point to Import and Export.
- Click to select Import from another program or file and then click Next.
- Click to select Personal Folder File (.pst) and click Next.
- Browse to locate the old personal folder, click to select it, click Open, and then click Next.
- Click to accept the top level Personal Folders, make sure Include Sub folders is enabled, and then click Finish.
NOTE: You will need to reset any message rules that move items to or from the old personal folder to work with the new pst.
