This article was previously published under Q293047
This article discusses a Beta test product that is not yet announced or released publicly by Microsoft. Please feel free to familiarize yourself with this product, test it, and report problems to Microsoft.

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Add to: Personal Address Book option while you are viewing a user in the Global Address List, the Manager's Name box is populated with the manager's X400 address instead of his or her name.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, manually insert the manager's name.

If the manager's name is not necessary, create a new contact in the Global Address List:
  1. Open an e-mail message that is addressed to or received from that user.
  2. Right-click the user's name.
  3. Select Add to Contacts.
Note that the new contact does not include a Manager's name box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
