OL2002: Error Message When Attempting to Move a Message to the Hotmail Root (293002)

SYMPTOMS

When you add a Hotmail account to your folder list and then try to move an item to the Hotmail root folder, you receive one of the following error messages:
"Unknown Error"
"Unable to move item"

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because messages are stored in folders under the root.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
