This article was previously published under Q292953 SYMPTOMS
When you are connected to a Hotmail account through a dial-up networking (DUN) connection and you then connect to the Internet by using a second DUN connection, you may not be able to cancel Outlook tasks. If you try to use the Send/Receive function during such a session and you click Skip when the system warns you about the existing connection, a task may be left processing until you manually cancel it.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, cancel the Hotmail task that is being processed. Press F9 to try again to use Send/Receive, but do not click Skip when you are warned about the existing connection.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
