OL2002: Microphone Is No Longer Available After Options Dialog Box Is Open (292951)

SYMPTOMS

When you open the Options dialog box from the Tools menu before you use the microphone, the microphone becomes unavailable.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, turn on the microphone, close and then restart Outlook, and then use the microphone before you open the Options dialog box from the Tools menu.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
