OL2002: The Calendar "Reply by Message" Option Displays an Incorrect Date Format (292914)

SYMPTOMS

When you forward a Calendar item and use the "Reply by Message" functionality, the date format in the message header When line may use the wrong date format. You are using an operating system that is not set to United States English and that has a user locale set to something other than U.S.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior occurs even if you set the Outlook option to Use English for message headers on replies and forwards. Localized characters are used for date/time and time zone information.
