OL2002: You Can Create a Second Send/Receive Group Named 'All Accounts' (292899)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Send/Receive Groups on the Tools menu under Send/Receive Settings, and then try to add a new Send/Receive group with the name "All Accounts" (without quotation marks) in Outlook 2002, the name is accepted even though the default "All Accounts" group already exists.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, edit the original "All Accounts" settings or create a group with a different name.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Normally, if you try to add a Send/Receive group that already exists, the following error message occurs:
Outlook failed to create a new Send/Receive Group. Outlook was unable to save the name of the Send/Receive Group. You have entered the name of a Send/Receive Group which already exists.
