OL2002: Saved Task Order Lists May Corrupt Views (292894)

SYMPTOMS

When you work with a large number of tasks and you close a task as it is completed, you may receive the following message:

Please save the task order by clicking Save Task Order on the Actions menu in the "Task" folder. The view must not be filtered or grouped for Save Task Order to be available.

After you follow the instructions in the message, you may have problems starting Outlook 2002.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, open Outlook by using the /Cleanviews command-line switch.
