OL2002: Error When You Select an Outlook Folder That Has Hotmail Set As the Home Page (292889)

When you select a folder with http://www.hotmail.com set as the home page in Outlook 2002, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to display the folder.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you are logged on to Hotmail and the Keep me signed in to this and all other Passport sites, unless I sign out option is selected on the Hotmail Web site log on screen.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use Outlook 2002 to verify your Hotmail account.

WORKAROUND
Use the following steps to work around this problem:
- In your Microsoft Internet Browser, navigate to http://www.hotmail.com.
- Click Passport Sign Out.
- In Outlook, click a different folder, and then return to the folder with Hotmail set as the home page.
