This article was previously published under Q292884 SYMPTOMS
When you create a filter and include a condition that refers to time to view your tasks in Outlook, the filter seems to ignore the time stamp.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the filter's time calculation is based on Greenwich mean time (GMT), not your local time.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, base the filter on Greenwich mean time:
- Right-click the Taskpad header, and then click Customize Current View.
- Click Filter, and then click the Advanced tab.
- Click the Field arrow, point to Date/Time fields, and then click Created.
- Click the Condition arrow, click on or after, and then, in the Value box, type the date and type the time as it is expressed in Greenwich mean time.
Greenwich mean time is five hours ahead of eastern standard time. For example, 4:00 P.M. on the East Coast of the United States is 9:00 P.M. Greenwich mean time. - Click Add to List, click OK, and then click OK again.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
