When you try to empty your Hotmail Deleted Items folder, you may receive the following error message:
The server does not support manual deletion of messages Your 'Deleted Items ' folder might be emptied periodically
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, exit and restart Outlook, and you should be able to empty your Hotmail Deleted Items folder.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
