SYMPTOMS

When you accept or decline a task request that is sent to an HTTP account such as Hotmail in Outlook 2002, the task request is not removed from the Inbox.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If you delete the task request from the Inbox, the task is removed from the Tasks folder.
