SUMMARY

When you install the Mobile Information 2001 Server Exchange Event Source on a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server computer, the Exchange 2000 information store is stopped and restarted to register the Exchange Event Source with the Exchange 2000 information store.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior causes an outage for any users who are connected to that Exchange 2000 server and stops any message flow that is traveling to or through that server. Administrators need to plan for this outage when they deploy the Exchange Event Source component of Mobile Information 2001 Server.
