SYMPTOMS

In some versions other than the United States version of Windows 2000, when the Add/Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel (Appwiz.cpl) starts, the characters in the dialog box are corrupted.

CAUSE

This problem can occur because the Mlang.dll file is incorrectly unregistered during the removal of programs.

RESOLUTION
