- FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions from Microsoft
This article was previously published under Q292692 SYMPTOMS
When you use a Web folder to rename a folder on a Web server, and then you select a subfolder under the renamed folder, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
The folder http://server name/folder/subfolder is no longer available.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- You create and then open a Web folder on a Web server that has the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft installed.
- By using Windows Explorer with the Folders Explorer Bar in view, you rename the folder.
- In the Folders pane of Windows Explorer (the left side), you click a subfolder directly below the renamed folder.
This behavior occurs because the view is not refreshed correctly. The subfolder is not lost.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, press F5 to refresh the view, and then click the subfolder again.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
