Determine Whether MDAC is Installed- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK.
- Look for the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DataAccess\FullInstallVer
If the key is located in the registry, MDAC is installed.
