LDAP Exchange MA: Duplicate Attributes in the Import File (292601)

The Management Agent (MA) logs record the following error message:

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you have added the proxy-addresses, mail, rfc822Mailbox, and textEncodedORAddress attributes to the Attributes to Discovery list. The Exchange MA is configured to request proxy addresses in the Attributes to Discover list by default. When the MA requests proxy addresses, Exchange returns all four of these attributes: proxy-addresses, mail, rfc822Mailbox, and textEncodedORAddress.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, remove the attributes mail, rfc822Mailbox, and textEncodedORAddress, from the Attributes to Discover list in MA:

Click Configure MA on the Action panel.
On the Connected Directory Specifics tab, click the Attributes to Discover tab.
On the Attributes to discover dialog box, click Mail in the list box, and then click Delete.
Repeat these same steps for each remaining attribute.
Click OK to save your changes.
