SYMPTOMS

WARNING:This information is preliminary and has not been confirmed or tested by Microsoft. Use only with discretion. When you attempt to insert an organization chart in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, you receive the following error message:
Orgchart caused a General Protection Fault in GDI.EXE @ 0014:00000469

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods.

Method 1

Reduce the graphics hardware acceleration setting to "None." To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the desktop, double-click My Computer.
  2. Double-click Control Panel.
  3. In Control Panel, double-click System.
  4. On the Performance tab, click Graphics.
  5. In the Advanced Graphics Settings dialog box, set Hardware acceleration to None, and then click OK twice.NOTE: This method works only with a display setting of 256 colors or less.

Method 2

Contact your display adaptor vendor for an updated driver.
