SYMPTOMS
When you assign a Microsoft ActiveX control (for example, Microsoft Forms 2.0 CommandButton) to a layer and change the Layer Properties to invisible, the ActiveX control may remain visible and appear in the drawing.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
With normal shapes, you can add or remove the check mark in the "Visible" column of the Layer Properties dialog box and the shapes will be hidden or unhidden when the check is missing or present respectively. ActiveX controls may not follow the visible rules that are set in the Layer Properties dialog box. The only way to make the control invisible is to switch to Design Mode.
