SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove or reinstall Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, you may receive the following error message:
Error 907

Your setup files may be damaged. Try restarting the Setup program from where you originally ran it.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the ISA Server 2000 installation files have become damaged.

RESOLUTION

ISA Server 2000 does not continue an unsuccessful installation process when you restart the computer. Because of this, you must completely remove the ISA Server 2000 files, and then reinstall ISA Server 2000.

To completely remove ISA Server 2000, run the Rmisa.exe utility that is included in the ISA\I386 folder on the ISA Server 2000 CD-ROM.

NOTE: When you run the Rmisa.exe utility, you are prompted to remove all ISA Server 2000 components.
