WD2002: PitneyWorks ClickStamp Online Menu Commands Are Missing After Upgrade (292173)

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade from Microsoft Word 2000 to Microsoft Word 2002, and you have ClickStamp(TM) Online installed on your computer, the commands for ClickStamp may no longer be available on the Tools menu.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Word 2002 refers to the following folder for add-ins:

Microsoft Office\Office10\Startup

However, the PitneyWorks add-in template file for ClickStamp Online is installed in the following folder:

Microsoft Office\Office\Startup

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, copy the __CSO.dot template file from the following folder

Microsoft Office\Office\Startup

and paste it to this folder:

Microsoft Office\Office10\Startup

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
