WD2002: Run-Time Error 509 When You Use "By Design" Option in Office Graphics 2000 (292154)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open a new file by using the By Design option in Office Graphics 2000 by Streetwise Software, new instances of Microsoft Word are started and the By Design dialog box is hidden behind the new document window, or you receive the following error message:

Run time error '509'

The ToolsOptionsEdit command is not available because a document window is not active.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when both of the following conditions are true:

Office Graphics 2000 is installed on your computer.

-and-
You upgrade from Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) to Microsoft Office XP.

WORKAROUND

There is no known workaround for this issue. Office Graphics 2000 is not designed to function with Microsoft Word 2002. For more information about this issue and a possible workaround or update, please contact Streetwise Software.
