WD2002: Not All Personal Information Is Removed from a Web Page (292133)

When you save a Microsoft Word document as a Web page, the name of the document creator may still appear in the hypertext markup language (HTML) code.
This can occur even when you click to select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box on the Security tab of the Options dialog box.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when all of the following conditions are true and they occur in the given sequence:
- You insert a text box into a header or footer.
- You click Track Changes on the Tools menu.
- You type text in the text box.
- You save the document as a Web page.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Turn Off Track Changes
Turn off the Track Changes feature before you type any text. When the Track Changes feature is on, the indicator TRK is dark (black) on the Status bar. To turn the Track Changes feature off, double-click TRK on the Status bar (or click Track Changes on the Tools menu). The indicator TRK turns light (gray) when it is off.
Method 2: Do Not Use a Text Box in a Header or Footer
Do not insert a text box into the header or footer. Instead, type the text directly in the header or footer.
