STS: Cannot Open a Document on a SharePoint Team Services-based Web (292126)

When you attempt to open a shared document on a web based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft, a browser window opens but the document does not appear. You cannot view the document.
CAUSE
This problem occurs in the following situation:
- You attempt to open a subdocument of a master document that is stored on a Web folder.
- You click Open this file from its current location in the File Download dialog box that appears when you click the link to the document.
Master documents do not function correctly on web sites based on SharePoint Team Services.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
