WD2002: Resume Wizard Headings List Does Not Autoscroll Consistently (292114)

This article was previously published under Q292114

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Resume Wizard in Microsoft Word and you have more than six headings listed in the These are your resume headings list, the list does not autoscroll consistently when you select a heading and click Move Up or Move Down.

For example, if you select the first heading in the visible list, the list scrolls as you move the selected object up or down, but the selected object remains as the first heading in the visible list until the end of the list is reached. If you select a heading that is not the first heading in the visible list, the heading may be moved out of the visible list when you move the heading up or down. To locate the selected heading, you must scroll through the list until you find it.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, click and drag the scroll bar until the heading that you want to move is the first heading in the visible list. Then, select the heading and click Move Up or Move Down until the heading is in the position that you want.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
